My first group project through AIE, Party Mayhem is a game made up of similar minigames for the player to test out and enjoy. My portion of the game was the racing minigame called Rampant Racers.
It is is a simple racing minigame with 2 tracks, in which the players have a footrace to finish first. It features some speed boosts in the levels to make things a little more frantic.
The code behind it offered some good experience in figuring out how to ensure the players hit all the checkpoints before allowing the lap counter to advance, as well as reapplying the same things learned from the previous game "The Runner" like the speed boosts.
